I think your review of the Sliders is fairly accurate. Recently, I went on a mission to find the perfect riding pants, and purchased a pair of Sliders, which I reviewed also. They are okay, but I was not totally impressed with them, at least not enough to stop looking. I continued my search and found what I believe is a good compromise--a tougher pant.
