I’ve found the solution to our ice and snow problem: slidescooters.
The concept is simple. Take one scooter. Replace the front wheel with a short snowboard and the rear wheel with a low-pressure tire wearing 300 studs.
The result looks like this:


The company that makes this particular conversion kit is called BROS Riminimoto. Most of their focus is on Europe for now, but they have plans to bring their slidescooter riding course to the US in the future.

Unfortunately, their website also says these slidescooters are not designed for urban use. It’s a good thing Corvallis is about a million people short of being called an urban area. But now I’m curious: let’s think of some reasons why these shouldn’t be ridden on the road.
