I wonder if you also used it for control levers, brake pedal pivot and footrest pivots. I have been using motor oil for those and of course that attracts dirt, etc. I use grease for the sidestand and that gets pretty dirty fairly soon. It gives off a pleasant coconut like smell which I can sometimes smell even while riding. I've been using it on my bicycle chain and derailleurs since 1980. Back then, the only place I was ever able to find it was in really small tubes in high end bicycle shops.
