I’ve had problems with my internet connection for the past 7 days here at Bolty HQ. Help, we’re trapped in Comcast Internet Hell! A tech is coming over this afternoon to check out our connection, but I’m not holding my breath.
In the meantime, I’ve been working on some accessory wiring for Stacey’s Street Triple. She decided to go with an Eastern Beaver 3 Circuit Solution for her distribution block, as she really only needs to power her Gerbing’s gear. I put together a basic power harness that has a female Gerbing’s power plug at one end and a connector for the Eastern Beaver block on the other. This will let the Gerbing’s stuff run on a circuit keyed off the ignition.
One thing I’ve found is that it’s really hard to find information on the Street Triple compared to the wealth of data out there for the SV. I couldn’t find a decent wiring diagram, or even a basic description of the wiring in the Street Triple’s tail section. I guess a premium bike really does require a premium outlay for the premium service manual!

Stacy,
The Eastern Beaver circuit looks very interesting, I have very limited space under my seat. It looks like it might work better than some of the other options available. Thanks for posting the link.
@Gordon: Let me know if you need any measurements.
I think the premium bike manufacturer expects the premium bike owner to always bring things into the dealer.
@RichardM: Ooh, good point. Or maybe premium bike owners don’t mind paying a premium price for basic services!
Stacy, I don’t know too much about Triumphs but I do know that of their bikes I’ve worked on, nothing seems to make any sense, wiring included. However, I’d think that the wiring is fairly straight forward, you’ll just need to figure out what wire is earth and what’s hot. Look at it this way, at least it isn’t BMW’s CANBUS nightmare!
